“Figures in Thread is a project conceived, developed, and produced entirely by our creative studio and production house. It emerged from an in-depth research journey across the territory, an investigation into weaving that led us to the core of a unique, fragile, and precious culture—one that deserves to be understood and protected. Through an authorial and artisanal process, documentary cinema becomes a tool for listening and restitution, weaving together identity, memory, and landscape into a contemporary visual language. We are proud to have premiered the project on NOWNESS. Directed by Pierfrancesco Carta, a Sardinian native, the film visually narrates something intimate and singular, transforming the act of weaving into a universal story. Research and voice-over narration are entrusted to Frances Van Hasselt, creative textile designer from Karoo (South Africa) and part of our creative team, whose sensitive and conscious perspective guides the narrative.”
